American Military Benefits Group LLC is a public service company that assists Veterans or the Surviving Spouses of a Veteran who may be eligible for benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs, particularly the little-known Non-Service Connected Improved Pension Benefit.

While these “Aid and Attendance” and “Housebound” benefits has been available to Veterans since 1951, only approximately 143,000 veterans and surviving spouses currently receiving monthly checks from the VA. It has been stated there may be an additional 2 million who could qualify for benefits today.

A married veteran can receive a maximum of $2,019 per month in Improved Pension Benefits, a single veteran can receive a maximum of $1,644 per month, and an unmarried, surviving spouse can receive up to $1,094 per month. And these benefits are tax free!

The basic qualifications for Improved Pension Benefits are:

• Only 90 days of active-duty military service, one of which was during wartime.
• Any discharge other than a dishonorable discharge.
• Disabled OR at least age 65.

Most Veterans or their Surviving Spouses ages 65 or older are paying for in-home care or assisted living facility fees and meet these qualifications, yet only a small percentage receive veterans’ benefits.
